Support from Govconnect

We are delighted to receive £463.30 from Govconnect, a social enterprise whose aim is to provide a platform to drive greater collaboration through a series of strategic conferences and accompanying digital and social engagement strategies.

Town Break were chosen as one of three charities who received charity donations from a percentage of the ticket sales at Govconnect’s “Dementia Scotland 2016:  A Human Rights Based Approach to Care” conference on 14th September 2016.

A number of free places to the conference were also offered to Town Break and we were pleased to be able to send staff and volunteers to the conference, taking the opportunity to network with other delegates and learn from the speakers.

We thank Govconnect very much for inviting us to be a charity partner and can report that the money raised will be used to support people in Stirling who have a diagnosis of an early to moderate dementia within our cognitive stimulation therapy (CST) programme.
