Town Break Staff Members




Gail Barton

Gail is responsible for the leadership, management, development & co-ordination of the Town Break programme, which is currently offered throughout Stirling District.  She is responsible for sourcing ongoing funding for the charity and building relationships with stakeholders.  She has a BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Care and has over 12 years experience in the voluntary sector.

Kirsty Banks

Kirsty manages the Day Club and Coffee Club service.  She supports both the client and the carer and signposts them to other services which may be available. She is responsible for all volunteer training. She has a BA in International Marketing, several post-graduate qualifications in dementia, 13 years experience of working with people with dementia and their families, and is a qualified Moving & Handling trainer.

Lynda Hutton

Lynda is currently on secondment to the Dementia Services Development Centre at Stirling University.  Lynda managed Town Break's befriending service, the friendship group, CST and carer support. She works closely with clients and carers in order to provide person-centred support and signposts them to other services which may be available. Lynda is a registered Mental Health Nurse with a Post Graduate Diploma in Dementia Studies.

Liz Stewart

Liz is our Befriending Co-ordinator who works with both the clients and our dedicated befrienders ensuring that matches made are successful.  She provides some training to our befrienders and is responsible for recruiting new volunteers to the programme.  She has a real passion for supporting and enabling people.

Tanya Bolton

Tanya is responsible for planning and administering our Cognitive Stimulation Therapy programme, our Self Management Support Groups, assists with the Friendship Group and helps to direct the evaluation of our services.  Tanya has an Hons Degree in Fine Art, a postgraduate Foundation in Art Psychotherapy, as well as an SVQ 3 in Adult Social Care.

Christine Watt

Christine is our new Dementia Services Assistant. She assists our Dementia Services & Training Officer by providing a variety of activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction at the Day Club and Coffee Club.
